The Angus Burger – The best burger in Victoria, maybe even Canada!

What is the most interesting little known fact about the Club that you would like people to know?
The spectacular location, extremely friendly environment and the fact membership to the UClub is open to the UVic and Victoria communities!

What do you like to do when you're not working at the Club?
Spend quality time with my family.

Watching our daughter carry the Olympic Torch at Harrison Hot Springs and perform in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics closing ceremonies at BC Place.

What is your favourite aspect of your work?
Preparing for a special event, which involves different change in pace and new recipes.

What is your favourite food item on the Club's menu and why?
My Lamb & Fruit Curry because there go perfectly together

What is the most interesting little known fact about the Club that you would like people to know?
I think the pond and the patio is well hidden and a great place to unwind.

What do you like to do when you're not working at the Club?
I love to garden and go sailing with my friends.

Diesel Mechanic for Small Engines

How long have you worked at the Club?
Six years

What is your favourite aspect of your work?
The combination of interaction with our members and the detail work of accounting.

What is your favourite food item on the Club's menu and why?
Any of the pasta dishes because pasta is my favourite food group.

What is the most interesting little known fact about the Club that you would like people to know?
Our secluded pond is host to deer, ducks, herons and turtles; it’s a very peaceful, natural setting in the heart of the University campus.

What do you like to do when you're not working at the Club?
Garden and search through used furniture stores for projects and undiscovered antiques.

What is the last book that you have read?
Wind in the Willows

While at the Delta and Fairmont hotels I chaired the Green Teams and still strive to live by the Green principles.
I started in hospitality at the front desk at the Delta Ocean Pointe and worked my way up to Assistant Controller at the Fairmont Empress.
I built custom furniture for a couple of years.
I’ve lived in 7 provinces, one territory and one state and attended 15 schools from kindergarten to grade 12.

I joined the team in February 2013

What is your favourite aspect of your work?
Being part of a team that works with the members to ensure they feel at home when they visit the Club and exceed expectations when it comes to planning their wedding, meetings and events. 

What is your favourite food item on the Club's menu and why?
I love the Lamb Curry!

What is the most interesting little known fact about the Club that you would like people to know?
The University Club is a hidden gem on Campus.  Many don’t know that the Club is here as it is tucked away in the trees and is among a beautiful picturesque setting.

What do you like to do when you're not working at the Club?
I love spending time with my family especially with our new addition to the family, our beautiful little girl, Mika.

What is the last book that you have read?
At First Sight-Nicholas Sparks

I have recently come back to the Club from having a year away.  
In that time I had the privilege of becoming a new mom and what a wonderful time it has been. Each day is exciting along with a new challenge.
